After months and months of speculation Premier League club Manchester United have today (August 7th) finally confirmed that they are on the verge of completing the signing of France international Paul Pogba.

After months and months of speculation Premier League club Manchester United have today (August 7th) finally confirmed that they are on the verge of completing the signing of France international Paul Pogba.

The midfielder was at Man United from 2009-2012 before being sold by then manager Sir Alex Ferguson to Juventus on a free transfer.

But now the 23-year-old is heading back to Old Trafford in a world record deal worth more than £100m.

New manager Jose Mourinho has been desperate to sign the midfield ace after taking over from Louis Van Gaal and it now looks like he has got his man.

Manchester United released an official club statement reading: “Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalise his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.” 

The world record transfer is expected to be wrapped up before the new Premier League season kicks off on Saturday August 13th whith Man United taking on Bournemouth away from home on Sunday the 14th.

Amid the news of his impending medical, Paul Pogba has taken to Twitter, saying: “When too many people talk nobody understands talk very soon” (sic)
