Robert DeLeo is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. He is the bass player and backing vocalist for rock band Stone Temple Pilots. Other members of the band include/have included Chester Bennington, Robert’s brother Dean DeLeo, Eric Kretz, and Scott Weiland.
Robert is the son of Virginia and Emile John DeLeo. He is married to Kristen, and has two children.
Robert’s paternal grandfather was Giuseppe Di Leo (the son of Pietro Di Leo and Maria Rosa Lisanti). Giuseppe was an Italian emigrant, from Buccino, Province of Salerno, Campania, Italy.
Robert’s paternal grandmother was Rosina Lepore (the daughter of Paolo Lepore and Maria Zitarosa). Rosina was an Italian emigrant from Buccino.
Robert’s maternal grandfather was Clyde Leroy Jones (the son of Jared F. Jones and Stella Gertrude Fehrenbach). Clyde was born in Pennsylvania, and was of part German descent.
