Canadian born singer Shania Twain is without doubt the most successful female country artist of all time and the darling of country music.
Despite only releasing four studio albums, the ‘Man I Feel Like A Woman’ hitmaker has sold over 85 million records worldwide, making her one of the most successful artists of all time and the biggest selling female country singer ever.
The singer has also won hundreds of awards for her music, including five Grammy awards.
Despite her humble beginnings, Shania Twain has gone on to achieve stratospheric success and her third album ‘Come On Over’ sold more than 40 million copies worldwide, making it the most successful LP of all time in any genre and the biggest selling country album ever.
She is also the only female artist in history to have three consecutive albums be certified diamond.
Unfortunately in 2004, Shania was forced to take a break from music because of the medical condition Dysphonia, which effects both the speaking and singing ability, luckily the condition is treatable with careful rehabilitation and in 2012 she returned to the stage with her critically acclaimed concert show ‘Still The One’ which she performed exclusively at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
And in June 2015 she kicked off what she called her farewell tour ‘Rock This Country, the tour ran for four months and ended in October 2015.
Twain’s last studio album was ‘Up’ which was released in 2004, and while it looks like her touring days are behind her, fans of the singing sensation can expect new music this year.
